Faculty and Staff Vaccination Requirement
Any current faculty or staff member who has not updated their vaccination status should do so immediately.
All new University of Notre Dame faculty and staff members are required to provide their vaccination status within two days of their employment start date.
To be considered fully vaccinated, all Notre Dame faculty and staff should have received:
- Two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or any WHO approved vaccination, more than 6 month ago, plus a Pfizer or Moderna booster; Or
- A single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than 2 months ago, plus a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna booster.
Access to Vaccines
Information about an initial vaccination series or a booster dose in the United States can be found at vaccines.gov.
Faculty and staff who have questions regarding the acceptance of a particular vaccine or are unable to access the vaccine in their home state or country should contact the Notre Dame Wellness Center for a consultation.
Access to Vaccine Booster
Faculty and staff should receive a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 booster when they are six months past their original Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccination or two months past their Johnson & Johnson vaccination. Those who received a Johnson & Johnson booster, or other non-Moderna, non-Pfizer booster, should contact the Notre Dame Wellness Center.
Current faculty and staff may receive the booster vaccination at any off-campus location.
Additionally, per the latest CDC guidance, immunocompromised individuals and people over the age of 50 who received an initial booster dose at least four months ago are eligible for another mRNA booster to increase their protection against severe disease from COVID.
Document your Vaccination
Faculty and Staff who have completed the primary series of a COVID-19 vaccination and/or a booster shot should document their vaccination.
