This website details the University's ongoing response to COVID-19 in the 2021-2022 academic year. The University continues to monitor developments and will adjust health and safety protocols as appropriate. We appreciate the ongoing flexibility and perseverance displayed by Notre Dame students, faculty and staff. It is important that each member of our campus community continues to take care of themselves and others as we navigate this new phase of the pandemic.

Timely updates on policy changes and campus-wide communications will continue to be posted to this website. Additional information related to health and safety can be found in context across other University websites.

Updated Masking Requirement, Effective January 1, 2022

Until 90 percent of the campus community has achieved the full protection of an approved booster, all students, faculty and staff, regardless of vaccination status, will be expected to wear masks indoors on campus, except when alone in private offices, or for students, in residence halls.

Visitors to campus must wear masks at all times indoors on campus until further notice.

To help us reach this goal, upload verification of your booster as soon as possible. For more information, review the full mask policy.

Student, Faculty and Staff Vaccination & Booster Requirement

Members of the Notre Dame community are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered fully vaccinated, students, faculty, and staff must receive two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or a single shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, plus a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna booster. The deadline for booster verification for all students, faculty, and staff is Friday, January 21.
